Copado’s Fundamentals I Certification is intended for users with little prior experience of Copado. The certification covers fundamental Copado functionality including commits, deployments, and promotions as well as how Copado connects with your repository.

Why Copado?

A DevOps tool is crucial for a business to have in order to reduce the time developers spend moving changes to production environments and other tasks. As there are many challenges in the existing development lifecycle management, Copado is here to solve the problems by providing some features which till make your life easier.

The first issue you run into is that the entire procedure is not clearly outlined.

You may inquire about these things:

Where do modifications take place? Do I need to begin in dev1 or can I apply my modifications right away in production?
Which environment must I go with first? Is it Integration or UAT? Who will certify my modifications?
We have difficulties while working with the metadata as well.

Let’s begin by defining what a metadata is:

Data that describes other data is known as metadata. For instance, there is an Account standard object in a Salesforce org. You add metadata and data when you add a record to an account that contains a customer’s contact information.
Metadata includes field names like first and last names. Data may be found in the values in those fields, such Amy and Lane.

Difficulty Keeping Environments in Sync

When developing new feature, you also need to make sure that sandboxes are in sync. Sandbox refresh can lead to multiple problems:
After the refresh, all active work in a sandbox will be erased.
Refresh Time can be once a month for full sandbox. Only once a month may whole sandboxes be updated. As a result, they find it difficult to accept updates pushed from a hotfix environment to production.
In order to prevent production users from receiving automated email messages from the sandbox, user email addresses are changed in the sandbox each time it is updated. Therefore, in order to log back into the sandbox, users must verify an email address change.
You will lose all data unless you’re reloading a full or partial copy sandbox. As a result, you must produce new test data.
No Team Collaboration: When different developers work in the same environment and make modifications to the same components, there is a serious problem.
