Meet Ana Maria Ospina

Ana Maria Ospina is a Commerce Business Analyst here at Perficient and has been a key member of our national Commerce practice for 3 years. Ana is from Colombia and has her Postgraduate certification in Project Management and has a background in industrial engineering. 

Outside of work, Ana loves spending time with family and friends as well as traveling, reading, and going to the gym. Ana was a competitive volleyball player for 13 years and loves exercising! Along with her hobbies, Ana is passionate about animals. She currently has 2 cats and 1 dog.  Ana says although “cats and dogs are believed to fight; they live happily as a family.” 

 

Ana’s Passion Shines as She Turns Client’s Needs into Outcomes

Ana’s favorite part of her job is seeing all the software development processes turn into results for clients. She enjoys seeing the client’s needs and requirements being fulfilled and brought to life with functional features within their web pages.  

Ana’s Day-to-Day Tasks as a Business Analyst

Collaboration with managers, developers, and other team members is an important part of Ana’s role and is key to effectively documenting business processes. She also communicates and works closely with clients to gather information about their needs. Along with this, keeping track of requirements and documentation is crucial to her role. She uses tools like Jira and Confluence, as well as Business Requirement Documents, to ensure traceability. 

Ana’s Favorite Project 

Ana’s favorite project is the one she is currently working on because it’s a project that started from the discovery phase, so she has had the opportunity to learn a lot through the process and the implementation of the different project phases.
